GIRL INTERRUPTED

from DROPSTONES (remastered) by The JDA Project

/

lyrics

Cold winter day, sun shining bright
Two ships passing, in the night
Embracing darkness, embracing light
One with hope, one with fear
A table for two, no waiting here

Promise to live, just one more day
What's your life mission? Do you think you can say?
I sat 'cross the table and looked in her eyes
Girl interrupted, please don't say goodbye

You're too young to give up, on all of your dreams
With your gray shawl and black heart and your faded blue jeans

And yet I can't blame her, for wanting to die
Sure we've all been there at some point in our lives

(instrumental break)

I've lost friends to fire drugs and war
Gun shots, car wrecks, and so much more

Cold winter day, now the sun’s gone down
Two souls passing, one soul drowned?
All this happened a long time ago.
I hope she chose life
I’ll never know. No I’ll never know.
