lyrics

This Old Box

This old box can sing again,
what do you think of that
Stuck on a shelf, inside a shed
for many hears she sat

Broken, dirty, speckled white
with paint that missed it’s mark
Her prospects looking mighty dim,
her future looking dark

Destined for the garbage can,
a total loss you say
Unloved, un-played, a sorry mess,
‘till I passed by one day

A careless master owned her once
But then cast her aside
Her broken bridge, this fatal blow
From which she almost died

Once critters lived inside her shell
The sight a crying shame
This diamond in the rough,
A rose by any other name

But now this box can sing again
Her voice is now restored
The song she sings now heard anew
Her fitting, just reward
