Love Is Easy 04:16
LOVE IS EASY Every day, as you wake, you see a little daylight All our lives, are entwined, with our separate dreams Seeing love, in the morning, the light comes through the window As the birds fly aloft, the wind is in your hair Love is coming, through the window Love is coming, from the heart Love is simple, if you let it flow Love is easy, Love is easy Patient smile, on your face, as I stumble through the day Cue the lights, on our show, as we enter in the play Will our song, be a glad one, will it make us proud Will the rainbow of our love, make us sing aloud Love is coming, through the window Love is coming, from the heart Love is simple, if you let it flow Love is easy, Love is easy WORDS: JOEL PIRARD MUSIC: JOEL PIRARD, ARNO TIETJE, DON PITZ C.1997

For The Old Friends So tell the truth now, do you still feel were winning? The Old Friends feeling, like no sees them sitting, out in the cold night, no place to call their own Again, in the Darkness of Night When will it turn out all right, for the Old Friends When morning comes now, will they still move to answer, the call of living, or will they stop and ask for, a little caring, a helping hand to guide Their way, in the course of the day Seems its the least we can say Help is at hand, from your sons, and your daughters, again We all get older, do you still feel so carefree When they go walking, out from their cold beginnings Their clothes askew, they still want to be living On, in the course of their lives Slow, still theres light in their eyes for the Sun still they go on, Dawn after Dawn For they're Old Friends MUSIC: JOEL PIRARD, DON PITZ, ARNO TIETJE WORDS: JOEL PIRARD C: 1997

A Fine Time WORDS: JOEL PIRARD MUSIC: JOEL PIRARD, DON PITZ, ARNO TIETJE C. 1997 Its a fine time ( a very fine time ) to drink your wine ( a very good wine ) As you gaze into the sun ( the secret sunshine ) in the morning Its a riddle not a rhyme ( not a really good line ) though it fits so fine ( will it work this time ) As we make it fit the song ( its a fitting line ) for the moment Did we try, to make it fly, up in the bright sky of the daylight Did we fly really going so high That we thought we'd never land in the real life Its a blessing in disguise ( right between the eyes ) If we realize ( the tie that binds ) that a whimper or a sigh ( what a surprise ! ) is a good one When we get so high (hello, goodbye ) That our mouths are dry ( so afraid to die ) Is it loss of life ( would it make you cry ) that bewilders There's a time to live, and a time to die I really don't know, the reasons why So toe the line, trying not to lie To the Ones that you love, in your real life FOR THE OLD FRIENDS!

about

Our first, revisited, and for the first time including A FINE TIME (single edit) and WHAT HAS GONE BEFORE (radio edit).

This is the one that started our collaborative writing.
It came on the heels of our 'fun' unreleased Beatles tribute album an 'inadvertent' concept album, it loosely has the songs linked in an odd story-like way, and there are recurring musical themes throughout.

Joel Pirard, vocals, acoustic 6 & 12 string guitars, piano, keyboards, bass, drum machine programming, Don Pitz, vocals, organ, piano, percussion, slinky, Arno Tietje, vocals, acoustic guitar, electric lead and rhythm guitars, bass, lap steel guitar

REVIEWS:
A FIne Time
JDA;original without leaving their Brit-Pop roots. Having lived in England some years back, this tune reminded me of walks on the moors, dinners in rural pubs and the shrinking pound years. Took me somewhere. "Classic Rock, Psychedelic, Progressive, an aural documentary of famous '60s-70s' rock album 'feels.' Harrison slide-guitar riffs, Moody Blues embellished movements, Blind Faith pianos, you name it." and about THROUGH A MOVING WINDOW, "JDA continues to keep the early '70s classic rock era alive with an energy and verve that I can appreciate. And I think others can, too."...Frank Cotolo

A REVIEW ABOUT SLEEPYHEAD Reviewer: Jason Parker
ABOUT "SLEEPYHEAD" "catchy tune, in a wacked out way...kinks "soap opera" and "schoolboys in disgrace" come to mind".."guess that at least the singer is from Britainia if not, he should be"

Reviewer: James Younger
I had purchased this CD about 6 months ago when I read a review there from Frank Cotolo. I used to listen to Wolfman Jack on some syndicated program and "Mars" Cotolo was his writer, sometimes on-air collaborator. I saw the name and was curious to see what he was saying. On the strength of Frank's words I checked out JDA and bought the CD on the spot. These guys bring back memories and moods that for too long have been forgotten, and yet they sound new! I recommend it and would buy it if I didn't already own it. You should. It has true staying power!
