lyrics

THE TIDE HAS TURNED AWAY
WORDS BY D PITZ & A TIETJE
MUSIC BY JDA

She’s the kind of girl who’d give you her umbrella on a sunny day
But when the raindrops start to fall she’d be there to take it away

I can’t see where I must be today
Not for me the tide has turned away

When I find I can’t explain (when find I can’t explain)
my thoughts they wander on
And I find myself (And I find myself so lost)
So lost in time and words alone

I can’t see where I must be today
The rain it calls to me, how can it wash away, the pain

When I find I can’t explain (when find I can’t explain)
my thoughts they wander on
And I find myself (And I find myself so lost)
So lost in time and words alone

And one day you’ll wake (and on day you’ll wake to find)
To find your gods have feet of clay
Will it be your broken (will it be your broken heart)
heart that sees the light of day

I can’t see where I must be today
Lonely me, the tide has turned away
