Arno wrote this one, a tune about a broken relationship

lyrics

Time will tell
By Arno Tietje

Add another layer to my shell
Doesn’t really matter in my private hell
Took a year for us to say out good-byes
Only now I know about all of your lies

Time will tell
Time will tell

Nothing we could do to forestall
We could read the writing on the wall
You had to have everything or nothing at all
I hoped our love would stand but it had to fall

Time will tell
Time will tell

Well I heard there’s trouble in paradise
You’re the last one to listen to your friends’ advice
And you went from the fire to the fryin’ pan
And it’s no joke that I’m laughing, just as hard as I can!

There was a time when, if I had my way
That they’d find you at the bottom of New York Bay
Well that anger has passed now so what can I say
‘cept we’re older, and wiser and it’s true that every dog,
has it’s day!

Our love was more than the sum of it’s parts
Carve another scar in my bleeding heart
Time waits for no one when the love departs
Just like a circle the end is the start

Time will tell
Time will tell
Time will tell
Time will tell
